Photography Proposal
Let’s capture magic together.
It is an honor to be thought of to capture such a special moment in your lives. Thank you for reaching out and thinking of me to document your wedding day!
One of the joys of being a wedding photographer is the opportunity to work with friends and loved ones at their wedding celebrations. Documenting love stories is a privilege, and it is even more fun and special to work with people I know. For friends and family that choose to book photography services, I like to include a special discount for any add-services that work and align with the vision for your celebration.
Here is how it works: I have outlined a few of the common photography packages below. Take a look and see which package fits closest to your ideal coverage time and style. I am more than happy to make changes to make a package that fits what you need, so just let me know where you would like to make adjustments!
After that, you are welcome to include any add-service that you would like! That means feel free to add extra coverage hours, or we can do an engagement session, or a night portrait session, etc. The only exception is the “Second Shooter” option, as that fee is in place to pay the assistant photographer.
My goal with the couples I work with is to be as unobtrusive as possible. I prefer a journalistic approach, giving you both the space to enjoy your celebration with your loved ones, and capturing authentic and candid moments throughout the day. I take a minimal approach to posing, preferring to just offer light guidance and using portrait sessions to give couples space and time to spend with just each other.
Regardless of how you’d like me to be involved, I am so grateful that you thought to ask! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions for me.
Cheers,
Ryan

This package gives more room in a standard timeline for a full wedding day, capturing more candids during the morning getting ready, allows more time for a First Look, an off-site portrait session, and fun party candids during open-dancing. This package is helpful for those with larger guest lists & larger wedding parties or families, giving us time to gather the group shots & combinations!

This is the all-inclusive package for weddings, with no limits to coverage time. This is for those couples that want to prioritize the candids and extra moments throughout the day, or for those with traditions and ceremonies that extend beyond just a few hours in the afternoon and evening. Full day coverage is non-limited, and in certain cases coverage can include coverage time for rehearsal dinners or additional events throughout the weekend.

($195 / Hour) - for those timelines that need a little extra time, or for when you know your guests are great at dancing and you want some fun candids from the dance floor! We can add extra time at any point during the planning process, even day of in most cases!
-
($60 / per roll) - Film looks are fun, and there can be some wonderful elements and effects only possible on an old SLR. I shoot on a Nikon F3, and use either Kodak Gold 200 or Portra 400, though I do take requests if you have a favorite film stock.
-
($300) - Sometimes it is fun to get shots of your ceremony or the reception space from above. This service is subject to FAA regulations, and might not be available at every venue.
-
($550) - This add-on is like an engagement session, only we skip the golden hour and opt for twilight or true night. This can be at a dark-sky spot with the milky way or some beautiful stars, or in some neon-lit dive bar that you and your partner love for a documented night on the town! Includes some travel allowance.
-
($600) - For those that want some extra candids of the celebrations the night before your wedding! Can be formal or informal. Coverage time is intentionally flexible to accommodate for a variety of event styles and shooting outside of ‘eating’ time.
-
($300) - Always happy to provide different ways to deliver images outside of hefty downloads. SSDs are a great way to ensure your files are safely stored and portable! RAW files can be provided by request, however prices might vary to accommodate larger data load and a higher-capacity SSD.
-
($30 / Camera) - These images are usually super fun, if not just funny. Put a few of these out during cocktail hour! I’ll collect them at the end of the night and get the film developed.
-
($90 / hour) - Assistants are taught to shoot similar to my style, and their photos are edited within the full gallery to achieve a cohesive vision.
I can’t be everywhere at once, so an assistant is a great idea if you have multiple locations for getting ready, a large wedding party or family photo list. It can be nice to have another photographer to capture candids and grab & grins during cocktail hour and the reception!
*This is the one exception to the friends and family discount, as this fee goes towards paying the assistant for their time and vision!

Notes on Elopements
Elopements take many forms. Some are very intimate, like a courthouse ceremony or a sharing of vows atop a ridge at golden hour. Others may include a smaller group of loved ones, or a more a casual dinner party with friends and family following a private ceremony. These elopement packages are meant to accommodate these varieties, delivering a streamlined photo gallery and cutting some of the costs associated with a full wedding package. As always, I am more than happy to make adjustments to find the right fit for you.
The difference between elopement and wedding packages at Kumo is largely in the focus you’d like me to have throughout the day. Weddings typically include a larger guest list, dedicated posed family & wedding party formals, and an emphasis on ceremonial moments. Typically I try and include at least one photo of each guest attending, in addition to documenting the ceremonies with the couple. The smaller guest list of an elopement permits an emphasis on the couple and a few loved ones gathered to celebrate, and bypassing the more formal and curated group photos.
Journalistic and candid capture is a feature of all of my work, regardless of the package chosen! If you have further questions don’t hesitate to reach out!
